Disneyland Paris have an incredible Halloween season! It’s truly one of my favourite times to be in the park and I love how different the park is during Halloween, it’s so special! From the details and decorations around the park, the special characters you can meet, to Halloween merchandise, shows and parades.
I had so much fun during the Halloween season at DLP and I’m so excited to share it all with you!
First things first!
The Halloween Mickey Mouse ears!

These are the super cute Coco themed ears I got for the Halloween season! But most importantly, THE comfiest ears I’ve ever worn, they didn’t dig into my head and I could leave them on all day!
We also got a Halloween style autograph book for the villains to sign in! (go big or go home right?!)
Okay now let’s start with characters!
It’s such a special time during Halloween as you have the opportunity to meet so many different characters you can’t usually meet.
The Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland was our first stop! You can meet him in Fantasyland and there was a Photopass Photographer there too! This cheeky little cat was super cute to meet even though he didn’t know which way we should go??

Up next was the Mistress of all Evil… Maleficent! This evil villain has her own photo location just through the other side of the castle in Fantasyland, you’ll see a huge thorn bush growing right behind her so she’s hard to miss! We had a quick chat with Maleficent as she was very busy planning ways to have Princess Aurora prick her finger on a spinning wheel. She definitely did not appreciate that I was good friends with Princess Aurora!

We then moved over to Adventure land where we met Miguel from Coco! I love Coco and I was so excited that I could meet Miguel and take a photo together! He’s located right opposite Big Thunder Mountain and just outside the Coco restaurant which has some delicious Mexican dishes!

Then over in Frontierland, we saw José and Panchito from The Three Caballeros! Super fun to meet and they were so interactive and gave us all a good laugh!

We then saw Chip and Dale, and although they weren’t part of the Halloween theme, they’re so cute! We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a photo together.. .and being in the Halloween spirit we all did a “scary pose” for our photo.

You can also meet Mickey and Minnie together in their Festive Coco inspired outfit here in Frontierland, although I didn’t get the chance to get a photo with them as the line was super long this day and we wanted to make sure we didn’t miss the Halloween Parade (Priorities!).
We took a break from Character hunting to watch the Halloween parade “Vive la Vie” coming up from Main Street USA. This parade is incredible. The theme is Halloween harvest more so than “Scary Halloween”. Not only is it a full parade, but the floats then all circle around in front of the castle and Characters and performers get up onto the stages to dance, before continuing the parade. This mid parade show stop is a new addition to the Halloween parade at Disneyland Paris and it is truly is amazing!
Another highlight of the parade is the living dead float with the zombie Bride and Groom which is also a new addition to the parade.
The music on this parade is so fun and catchy, I guarantee you’ll be singing and dancing along to it by the end of the day!

Up next we went to the castle stage to watch the Halloween Villain show “It’s good to be bad”. This show was great because it was on multiple times during the day and has two different versions that rotate each time! So we got to watch two different shows and they’re both so entertaining. What’s even better is that after the show you have the chance to meet the characters! The spread all around the castle stage area and you can gather around them for a chance to meet them. You’re not guaranteed to meet them as the villains pick guests from the crowd, but it’s just as fun to watch the Villain’s interact with other guests as well. Very entertaining and I would highly recommend!
I was super lucky and got to meet a few of the Villains which was so much fun!
Last but not least we finished off our day meeting Jack Skellington in Frontierland. Jack has his own photo location with his pet Zero floating around the background and was so nice to meet him and have a great chat about Christmas Town! You can find him located in front of the river in Frontierland.

Before I wrap this up, I want to make sure you all know about some of the special Halloween snacks you can purchase at the food carts around the park. I had the most delicious Halloween biscuits here! One was decorated like a day of the dead skull that tasted a bit like a shortbread mixed with gingerbread. Really yummy and super cute! But my all.time.favourite was the mickey shaped biscuit. It’s a shortbread biscuit with orange bats printed on it and It was
AH-MAZING. I love sweets and desserts and I was obsessed. Apparently, so was everyone else because towards the end of Halloween season a lot of the food carts had sold out of them! So if you’re there at Halloween you must try them! There are loads of other Halloween treats around the park in almost every restaurant too, so keep an eye out!

To sum up, if you’re not sure when to visit Disneyland Paris, Halloween is the BEST time to visit and I guarantee you’ll love it! Personally it’s my absolute favourite! It can also tend to be a bit less crowded during mid to end of October too, which is an added bonus!
I hope everyone is as excited as I am to visit Disneyland Paris during Halloween! Let me know in the comments below what’s your favourite season at Disneyland!
